Director
I have been working as an accountant in practice since 2006, where I first began my training contract. I stayed with my previous employer for 9 years and became a director after 7 years. I decided to take the leap and set up my own Chartered Accountancy Practice in April 2016. I have a real passion for being proactive and looking after clients the way they should be looked after. I want to ensure we do things in a modern way and customer service is the most important thing to me. I have two sons, James and Teddy who take up most of my time. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the gym and staying healthy.

Office Manager
I am the Office Manager at Smooth Accounting. This is my second position since returning to work following a career break, and it has been lovely to work for such a warm, friendly, family centric company. Previously, I worked for 8 years in Financial Services in a variety of Administrative and Marketing positions. I spend the majority of my spare time chasing around after my two sons.

Having joined Smooth Accounting as a Client Manager in September 2020 I took a keen interest in understanding how the business operated, this resulted in my promotion to Operations Manager in May 2022. Having gained experience in both industry and practice I am keen to utilise my knowledge to continually improve the Smooth journey for both staff and clients alike. After becoming a certified chartered accountant with the ACCA, I developed a passion for tax which continues today – I enjoy discussing complex tax matters with clients to further expand my knowledge. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading and watching sport.

Client Manager
Having embarked on a career change after having children, I recently qualified an ACCA qualified accountant. I’ve spent the last few years working in practice gaining a wide ranging skill set. I absolutely love my job, I particularly enjoy watching a client’s bright idea evolve into a thriving and successful business. It’s always a pleasure to get to know clients, to provide help and support and to be an integral part of their journey. Having recently finished studying, I now have plenty of time to indulge in my hobbies which include reading, running, archaeology and spending time with my family.

I am an Accounts Semi-senior at Smooth Accounting and am MAAT qualified. I have worked in practice for the past 5 years and enjoy working in an environment where no day is the same. I feel very lucky to have been given the opportunity to be part of such a friendly and supportive team here. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with, family, friends and exploring with my son.

I have been working in practice for almost 6 years and love every aspect of it. I am AAT qualified and currently working towards completing ACCA. Since I started I have been passionate about using Xero and often train clients to use the software. I have worked with a diverse range of clients and enjoy learning the different aspects of each industry. When I’m not working or studying, my favourite thing to do is wake up for the sunrise and head to the beach for a morning swim. I also love exploring new places so I am planning to take solo trips abroad soon, aiming to see more of the world and experience different cultures.

I have been in practice for 7 years working in audit and tax. During this time, I became ACA qualified and most recently CTA qualified. Over the years I have gained experience working with large and medium sized clients in a wide variety of industries. I enjoy meeting new people and having interesting conversations regarding business, accounting, and tax. I like to be faced with new challenges in order to further develop my technical knowledge. Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym and socialising with friends and family. I am also a huge fan of football and Formula 1.

I have worked in industry for 3 years and after completing my AAT qualification in 2020 I am very fortunate to join Smooth Accounting to gain further knowledge and skills in a modern, friendly and expanding environment. In my spare time I enjoy paddle boarding, travelling and growing my own fruit and vegetables.

Recently joined the business after deciding a career change, I have also started my Journey working towards AAT qualification, recently completing L2 and starting L3, with a long-term plan to do ACCA. I have a passion for numbers and enjoy “making it easy” for people to understand the world of finance. Outside of work I enjoy my motorhome, exploring many parts of the UK, dog walking with my puppy Maggie–May, Badminton and Buying and selling through local auctions.

I’ve always enjoyed filming and editing content since the first time I ever used a camera, and I’m very excited to have the opportunity to transfer these skills to Smooth Accounting. Social media and video are constantly evolving so there will be always be something to learn. In my free time I enjoy listening to podcasts, stand up comedy and skateboarding.

I am an apprentice at Smooth Accounting, studying my AAT level 2/3. My goal is to finish my AAT levels and then further train to complete my ACCA. I have a huge ambition to one day own my own accountancy practice. I am very thankful for this opportunity to further my knowledge and skills alongside studying. In my spare time I like spending time with my friends and family. I also enjoy watching football.
